Our house building process makes building your dream home simple

Three simple stages

To keep things simple, we’ve broken the process of building a house down into three stages. To help you understand what these stages mean, they can be broadly defined as planning, design, and build. Each stage of the new home construction process has its own steps detailed below. Planning

Introduction meeting
A meeting where we can learn about each other.

Site assessment
We assess your site and arrange surveys and soil reports as required.

Build value
We establish your build budget and discuss finance requirements.

Time line
We build a realistic programme for the delivery of your new home project.

Design

Design introduction
Meet and brief your independent home designer and get your design sorted (or provide your own plans). If you are looking for inspiration see our range of luxury new build home plans.

Create specification
Select your interior specifications with your personal build sorter.

Finalise the design
Make any final design changes.

PIM application
Lodge plans with local council PIM (Pre consent check if required).

Build

Select builders
We send your plans to quality builders to quote for your build.

Compare quotes
We present you with the completed builders quotes for comparison (if multiple prices obtained).

Consent
Your consent is lodged, processed and sorted.

Builder introductions
We meet with you and your preferred builder/s for the final selection and award the contract (if more than one builder pricing).

Contract signing
Due diligence and signing of the contract documentation.

Interior design
We provide an interior design consultant to help you to finalise floor coverings, kitchen and colour selections.

Construction visits
As part of our new build process management package, My Build Sorted visit your site during construction to assess progress.

Post-construction inspection
We will arrange for a certified independent building inspector to complete a report on your completed home.

Mediation
In the unlikely event this is required; My Build Sorted will arrange independent mediation on your behalf.

Handover
Pack your bags, it’s moving day… your build is sorted.

After care
We will contact you after 3-4 months to check in and make sure you are enjoying your new home.
